What we believe on
-
The Holy Trinity:
We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
- THE FATHER: God the Father is eternal, omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. His love and mercy were manifested in the atoning death of His only begotten son on Calvary.
- THE SON: We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His crucifixion, His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
- THE HOLY SPIRIT: The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Holy Trinity, who convicts the world, of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; indwells in believers, teaching and guiding them into all truth. (i Corinthians 12:4-11, Acts 1:8)
-
Inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures
Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures are verbally inspired by God, inerrant and infallible in their original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
-
Salvation of Man
Man’s redemption is only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (1 peter 1:18-19)
- Conditions to Salvation: Salvation is received through repentance toward God, confession by mouth, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ, His Son (Romans 10:9)
- The Evidence of Salvation: The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence of salvation is a life of righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:24, Titus 2:12)
-
Divine Healing
We believe that divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, which is the privilege of all believers.
-
THE RAPTURE
We believe in the pre?millennial return of Jesus Christ and in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord.
-
Sanctification
We believe that sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil and of dedication unto God. The Bible teaches a life of holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. “Be Holy, for I am Holy” (1 Peter 1:16).
-
The Ordinances of the Church are:
- Water Baptism: This ordinance shall be by immersion in the water in the name of The Father, The Son and of The Holy Spirit. It shall be administered to all those who give clear evidence of their new birth.
- Lord’s Supper: The Lord’s Supper shall be observed regularly in the Church. If a believer abstains from the Lord’s Supper, the pastor in consultation with the elders of the church should contact the person as soon as possible and ascertain the reason for such abstinence. The Pastor and the elders should take immediate steps in bringing reconciliation and the believer will be able to take part in the sacrament on the next available date. As the spiritual head of the congregation, the Pastor should take a leading role to ensure that all believers regularly take part in this sacrament.
- Present Ministry of the Holy Spirit: We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (11 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:10-14; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; Romans 8:1, 2).
- Baptism In the Holy Spirit: We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit giveth utterance and in the manifestation of the Holy Spirit operative in the church of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:39; Acts 19:6; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).
